Chevrolet Colorado’s Power-Up Series now in Discovery Channel

MANILA, Philippines – The Covenant Car Company Incorporated (TCCCI) whets the appetite of truck lovers as its all-new Chevrolet Colorado takes main stage in a four-part feature series in the Discovery Channel, titled – “The Chevrolet Colorado – Power-up Series”.

These exciting video features impart to viewers the various key highlights of the new Colorado that redefines expectations of an impressive truck. Shot in Mt. Minalungao National Park, Nueva Ecija, the pick-up truck was subjected to several tests that demonstrate its unique and powerful capabilities.

On the first episode “Haul anything and everything”, the hauling capability of the Chevy Colorado is the main focus. The video illustrates the impressive power, torque and durability of the truck. The Colorado is capable of carrying over 1 ton of payload or haul 3.5 tons of cargo (without payload and using a braked trailer). Its automatic 4×4 variant can produce a maximum of 180 horsepower and 470Nm of torque which are both best in its class.

The second part of the series “More power, real power”, tackles the technology and top grade materials used in the Duramax engine that makes it the most powerful in its displacement class. Some of the highlights in the video are its Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) with intercooler that allows the engine to provide efficient power delivery across the rpm band and its graphite coated pistons that reduce friction and power losses.

The third installment “Go anywhere and everywhere”, emphasizes on the durable built, remarkable suspension and high stance of the Colorado that allows the Chevy truck to go through rough, tough and uneven terrains with less worries. A very notable highlight in the episode is the 800mm water wading capability of the Colorado. The feature is a very practical must have nowadays with the constant flooding that our country suffers.

The final episode highlights the exterior and interior attributes of the Chevrolet Colorado. It exhibits the brilliant combination of bold rugged exterior looks and sophisticated driving comfort features that all truck and non-truck enthusiast will be able to appreciate. A perfect example that form and function can co-exist.

All four episodes are executed in partnership with Access Cable- Discovery Channel Philippines. And true to Discovery channel’s approach, the production of the Power-up  series are undertaken with advanced digital graphic animations with practical and witty illustrations to make the key features of the Chevy truck more interesting, simplified and relevant to the viewers.
