CebuPac to fill 200 new jobs
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has opened up 200 more new jobs as it prepares to take delivery of several new planes this year and the next.
In a statement, the company said it would hold a recruitment fair at the end of this month to fill new positions. The airline is looking for more pilots, cabin crew and technical personnel as it expands operations.
“Cebu Pacific continues to open its doors to dynamic and qualified individuals who wish to be part of the Cebu Pacific family,” said Candice Iyog, the airline’s vice president for marketing and distribution.
“With our expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region, Cebu Pacific remains committed to providing high-paying jobs, a fun work environment and unlimited travel benefits to even more people.”
The airline said the new planes would be used to set up the airline’s newest hubs in Iloilo and Kalibo. In October this year, Cebu Pacific said it would introduce five more domestic routes into its extensive network.
Direct flights between Iloilo and cities like Hong Kong, Singapore, General Santos, and Puerto Princesa would also start by November.
The company said interested applicants for Airbus captains and first officers, and technical support specialists (such as IT support manager, business systems specialist and quality assurance manager) would be interviewed on Aug. 30.
“Those applying for non-technical support professionals can also submit their resumés during this time,” the company said.
The airline said that on Aug. 31, it would start accepting female cabin crew applicants between 18 and 25 years old. Male cabin crew applicants may also submit their resumés on that day.
Cebu Pacific is the largest airline in the country in terms of number of passengers served. The company has 32 domestic and 19 international destinations.
The airline currently operates 10 Airbus A319, and 21 Airbus A320 jets.
Cebu Pacific also has eight ATR-72 500 turbo propeller aircraft.
Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 21 Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders.
The company is slated to begin long-haul services in the third quarter of 2013 as four Airbus A330 aircraft are set to be delivered that year and the next.
