Mercury Drug sets diabetes awareness campaign
MANILA, Philippines—The country’s leading pharmacy store Mercury Drug is currently undertaking a campaign to make people aware of the dangers of diabetes.
Called Walk for Diabetes Awareness, the campaign is Mercury Drug Foundation’s humble endeavor to create the needed awareness about diabetes – now a silent epidemic – for early disease prevention or proper management.
As part of the campaign, Mercury Drug Foundation will be holding a two-day program of learning from lectures on diabetes management, healthy cooking demo, yoga demo and cardio exercises.
Participants can also avail themselves of free blood sugar screening, medical consultation and nutrition counseling. They will also know about products that are available for diabetics and pre-diabetics.
