MANILA, Philippines—Carmen Copper Corp. (CCC), operator of the Toledo copper mines in Cebu province, shipped $31.72 million worth of copper concentrates in June, its parent company, Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp., reported.
The estimated value of the shipments was based on provisional and hedged prices of $3.45 per pound of copper and $1,604 per ounce of gold, Atlas said.
Citing a report from CCC resident manager Rodrigo Cal, Atlas said CCC made three shipments for the month.
The shipments amounted to 14,823 dry metric tons (DMT), comprising 4,982DMT; 4,916DMT; and 4,925DMT of copper concentrates. All were consigned to Chinese smelters through MRI Trading AG.
Total mill throughout at Toledo for June amounted to 1.23 million tons of ore, which yielded 12,808 DMT of copper concentrates. The ore came mainly from the Lutopan Pit, with only 2.3 percent of the tonnage coming from the Carmen Pit.
