Publicly listed Abacus Consolidated Resources and Holdings Inc. is set to pay by September cash dividends worth P265 million to its shareholders.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Thursday, Abacus said it had declared property dividends worth P265 million. These dividends will come in the form of common shares in Abacus Goldmines Exploration and Development Corp., with par value of P1 per share.
In connection with its property dividend declaration, Abacus Consolidated intends to list Abacus Goldmines by way of introduction after complying with regulatory requirements and Philippine Stock Exchange listing rules.
Abacus Goldmines has gold mining rights in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur.
SME Integrity meet
The Asian Institute of Management-Scientific Research Foundation Inc. will hold the SME Integrity Conference on July 26, 2012, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
The conference, dubbed “SMEs as a Major Force in Promoting Integrity and Accountability in Business,” will be held by AIM-SRF through the AIM Hills Program on Governance, Ramon V. Del Rosario SR-C.V. Starr Center for Corporate Governance, and in partnership with Washington-based Center of International Enterprise and Plantersbank, the country’s leading bank for small and medium enterprises.
The conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas in developing an enabling environment for Filipino entrepreneurs to operate their business with integrity and accountability.
