Robinsons to redevelop Metro East mall
Gokongwei-led Robinsons Land Corp. has unveiled major redevelopment plans for its Metro East mall on Marcos Highway in Pasig City to prepare the decade-old shopping complex for stiffer competition.
In a statement on Thursday, RLC said the redevelopment plan would give the shopping complex a “fresher” look, making it a “more convenient and relaxing place” for shoppers. The project will be completed by December in time for the Christmas holidays.
Robinsons Malls’ general manager Arlene Magtibay said this redevelopment was very timely given the rapid development of new residential communities in the area.
“We want to maintain Robinsons Metro East’s status as the preferred shopping destination for the entire family in eastern Metro Manila,” she added.
Robinsons Metro East is a five-level shopping center serving residents of Marikina, Cogeo, Cainta, Antipolo and San Mateo, Rizal.
The redevelopment will introduce new foreign and local brands, which will be conveniently zoned to enable shoppers to easily locate their favorite shops.
