New Picpa executive director
ESTELITA C. Aguirre, former deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue and dean of the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance of the Far Eastern University, has been appointed as executive director of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants by the Picpa national board.
Aguirre is distinguished for her public service with presidential appointments to the BIR during the terms of Presidents Cory Aquino, Ramos, Estrada and Arroyo. She served as member of the Board of Accountancy and tax consultant of the Joint Congress Oversight Committee and the University of the Philippines.
She graduated from the University of the Philippines, placed 10th in the CPA licensure examinations and was chosen the 2003 Distinguished Alumni Awardee of the UP College of Business Administration.

CHINATRUST (Philippines) Commercial Bank Corp. has announced the appointment of Victor Q. Lim as EVP and retail banking group head.

JT International Philippines Inc. recently announced the appointment of Manos Koukourakis as general manager.
Prior to joining JTI, Manos worked for Unilever, PepsiCo and Gallaher Hellas, where he held senior marketing and sales positions. He also gained several unique international experiences during this period while working in England, Central Europe and the Middle East-North
Africa regions as well as Greece, Cyprus and Malta.
Prior to taking on his current role at JT Philippines, Manos held the position of general manager for JT International Bulgaria.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the Open University in Milton Keynes, London, a post-graduate diploma in marketing and strategic planning from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London, and an MBA from Louisville University in Kentucky, USA.
