Moonyeen Singson, wife of former Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Gabriel Singson, died Tuesday after a long bout with colon cancer. She was 74.

Singson succumbed to her ailment at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City in the late morning, “gently and serenely” and surrounded by her loved ones,” a family statement said. She had bravely battled colon cancer over the last eight years, according to her family.

She was survived by her husband, Gabriel and three children Carissa Singson-Mabasa, former Finance Undersecretary Gabriel “Jay” Singson Jr. and Gerard Singson.

Her remains will be brought to Heritage Park in Taguig where farewells may be said daily from 3 to 10 p.m. from Wednesday until Friday.
