People carriers, loosely defined as vehicles that can carry more than five passengers, have been the dominant class on the sales charts for many years now. Nissan is updating its entry by launching the Grand Livina Highway Star, an update of its sedan-based multi-purpose vehicle.
The Grand Livina has been upgraded with performance parts from none other than Autech Japan, well known for its customizing of Nissan vehicles. Autech teams up with Nismo for some of its racing vehicles.
Upgrades to the Grand Livina include refreshed styling, particularly the “more aggressive” exterior.

Grand Livina is powered by a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 125 hp and 175 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with continuously variable valve timing to provide an effective balance between performance and fuel economy. The car rides on MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam axle at the rear. Safety features include ABS, EBD, and SRS airbags. The Grand Livina Highway Star will be available at all Nissan dealerships nationwide starting this weekend. The Luxury model is priced at P928,000 while the Elegance is P1.008 million.
