With the recent launch of the official Ferrari and Maserati showroom at Bonifacio Global City, all eyes are now on its neighbor, the Lamborghini Manila showroom. Aside from these Italian luxury car brands, German marques like Audi and Mercedes-Benz (which were among the pioneers in the area) as well as Japanese brands like Lexus and Subaru, not to mention British brands Land Rover and Jaguar, have set up shop there to service the growing demand for premium vehicles in the area. BMW also caused a stir as it launched its all-new 3 series model in a customized tent structure in one of the open parking lots in the BGC area just recently. Bonifacio Global City has fast become a boomtown not only for luxury condominiums and office buildings but also has become an important hub for the premium auto market.
The Lamborghini showroom opened early this year and adopted a by-invitation policy at first during its dry run and among its displays was the newly introduced Aventador model, in white color. The car, now owned by a private collector, will be proudly displayed next week as the first and currently the only official import Aventador during the grand opening happening next week. Lamborghini’s CEO and president Stefan Winklemann will be here for the official opening of the Manila showroom on May 28.
Gallardo LP 560-4 Noctis
The new showroom will also display the limited edition Gallardo LP 560-4 Noctis model, Noctis being the Latin word for night. Its distinctive dark three-color design comes with a black roof and silver-colored roof frame that runs all the way to the back and comes in a choice called Blu Fontis (dark metallic blue) or Grigio Lynx (gray). Its uniquely designed wheels are polished Cordelia rims fitted with Pirelli P Zero series and mated with large ventilated brake discs and black calipers. The engine bay shows off a 5.2-liter V-10 encased in a tempered glass hood. From zero to 100 kph, it only takes 3.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 325 kph.
The Gallardo LP560-4 is denoted by its number 560 badge while the number 4 signifies that it has a permanent four-wheel drive system. The chassis and body are made of lightweight aluminum space frame with a double wishbone front and rear suspension system. Just like the Aventador model, this Gallardo has a lifting system that enables the front axle to be raised to avoid hitting the under-body on ramp and over humps on the road.
