Yellow alert raised again in Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — Thin electricity supply gripped the Visayas for a third straight day this week, prompting the grid operator to reimpose a yellow alert as major coal plants remained offline.to the outages of large coal facilities.
In an advisory, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert status will last for six hours, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In a yellow alert, the power supply can still meet demand, but it will serve as a warning that when a plant breaks down one way or another, it will result in brownouts.
