
MANILA, Philippines – The Visayas grid has been put anew under yellow alert on Monday as three major coal plants in the region remain unavailable.
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said the yellow alert would be in place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

As of 8 a.m., the grid’s available capacity is 2,664 megawatts (MW), while peak demand is 2,483 MW.

Meanwhile, the two other main grids, Luzon and Mindanao, are expected to operate normally on Monday. /pai
