RLC, ACMobility to deploy 500 EV charging stations

MANILA, Philippines — Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is ramping up its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure rollout after forging a partnership with ACMobility, the mobility arm of the Ayala Group, as demand for cleaner transportation gains traction in the Philippines.

In a statement, the Gokongwei-led property developer said it was targeting the deployment of 500 EV charging stations across its portfolio this year to support private vehicle owners, commercial fleets, tenants, residents, and mall visitors.

RLC said the tie-up would accelerate the expansion of GoCharge, its EV charging initiative, across malls, offices, hotels, residential developments, and destination estates nationwide.

“RLC has always believed in creating developments that are ready for the future and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve,” said RLC president and CEO Mybelle Aragon-GoBio.

She said the partnership with ACMobility would help make sustainable mobility “more practical and within reach” while creating long-term value across RLC properties.

For ACMobility, the partnership expands its push to build what it calls the “Philippine EV Spine,” a nationwide charging network stretching from Pagudpud to Pagadian.

“Our partnership comes at such a pivotal time. There is a clear intent among Filipinos to shift to EVs. This is why we at ACMobility are hard at work building the Philippine EV spine. With more charging points available from Pagudpud in the north to Pagadian in the south, we will enable worry-free EV-powered drives,” said ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala.

Seamless experience

GoCharge is RLC’s branded EV charging platform that integrates several charging and mobility providers.

Under the partnership, ACMobility will provide charging infrastructure support, operational expertise, and access to the Evro app for a more seamless charging experience.

The property developer said the initiative also complemented its broader sustainability programs covering renewable energy, green building technologies, water management, and operational efficiency.

RLC senior vice president Jericho Go said the rollout of EV charging stations formed part of the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and support cleaner mobility solutions.

The partnership comes as property developers and conglomerates increasingly position their commercial estates and mixed-use developments to accommodate the expected rise in EV adoption nationwide. /atm
