Vista Land investing P5B in Sta. Rosa project

Housing developer Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc. plans to invest at least P5 billion in the development of the Sta. Elena City project in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Vista Land chief executive officer and president Benjamarie Serrano said in a statement that 13 hectares of the company’s land in the area would be devoted to neighborhood centers, commercial developments, and business process outsourcing and office spaces.

These will be built over the next three years. They form part of Vista Land’s P45-billion capital expenditure program for 2011 to 2013, Serrano added. Other components such as healthcare, education and leisure facilities will also be integrated into the Sta. Elena City, she added.

BPO and commercial projects are part of the plan to transform Sta. Elena City into a self-contained area and are envisioned to add to Vista Land’s portfolio of assets that will generate P1 billion in lease income.

The Business Processing Association of the Philippines, Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have identified Sta. Rosa as among the 10 “next wave cities” for development into information technology-business process outsourcing hubs.

Sta. Elena City, a partnership between Vista Land and the Quiros family, is a sprawling 300-hectare development with subdivisions inspired by the world’s most charming destinations.

Almost 190 hectares of the property have been fully developed. This portion now thrives with high-end and upper mid-range projects under the Brittany and Crown Asia brands.

Valenza is Crown Asia’s 13.7-hectare Italian-inspired community while Brittany’s three-hectare Fontamara is also rich in Italian details such as the cobblestone entrance gateway.

Brittany’s La Residencia de Sta. Rosa is a 20-hectare Spanish themed development while Promenade is another 20-hectare sprawling community inspired by the beautiful English gardens. Both offer lot cuts ranging from 200 to 800 square meters.
