/ 02:45 AM May 07, 2012

Puregold Price Club Inc., one of the country’s leading supermarket chains, is committed to support the sari-sari store sector as it once again gathers store owners during the 7th Tindahan ni Aling Puring Convention from May 16 to 19.

The convention offers numerous benefits and opportunities to help these small-scale entrepreneurs succeed.

This year’s convention will be held simultaneously for the first time in two venues: the World Trade Center in Manila, from May 16 to 19 May and in Camp John Hay in Baguio City, from May 16 to 17.

Company president Leonardo Dayao said the two convention sites reflected the increasing vibrance of growth areas outside the NCR, which Puregold had committed to support with even more store launches. This week, the chain opens three new stores—West Ave., Quezon City; Gen. Trias in Cavite; and Putatan in Muntinlupa, bringing its total network to 106 branches throughout Luzon.

The convention has become bigger and more substantive and colorful, attesting to the determination of Puregold to “empower Tindahan ni Aling Puring members and help fully develop their entrepreneurial skills.”
