Megaworld profit hits record P24B in 2025

MANILA, Philippines — Megaworld Corp. posted a record net income of P24 billion in 2025, up 11 percent from the previous year, driven by steady growth across its leasing, hotel and residential businesses.
In a statement on Thursday, the Andrew Tan-led property giant said consolidated revenues had risen by 5 percent to nearly P86 billion, supported by the continued expansion of its recurring income portfolio and healthy residential sales performance.

Leasing remained a key driver, with revenues climbing 11 percent to P22 billion. Office leasing income alone increased 11 percent to P14.9 billion, helped by new buildings, rental escalations, lease renewals and sustained demand from business process outsourcing firms and multinational companies at Megaworld’s townships.
Mall leasing revenues also grew 9 percent to P6.9 billion, as stronger consumer spending lifted tenant sales and expansion. Average daily foot traffic across Megaworld Lifestyle Malls surged 18 percent to a record 297,000, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
Megaworld’s hospitality unit, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, saw revenues rise 9 percent to P5.6 billion due to higher room rates and new hotel openings, including the Grand Westside Hotel, which will operate as Movenpick Manila Bay Westside Hotel.

Meanwhile, real estate sales reached P51.8 billion, supported by projects in Uptown Bonifacio, McKinley West, Westside City, ArcoVia City, Northwin Global City and Iloilo Business Park.
Megaworld said it plans to launch around P65 billion worth of residential projects in 2026 to sustain growth, while continuing to expand its township developments, including its newly launched 97-hectare “The Sugartown” in Negros Occidental. /dda
