Philex ships out P2 B in metals

MANILA, Philippines—Philex Mining Corp. disclosed Friday that it shipped P2.057 billion in various metals in April 2012.

Of the amount, P1.174 billion was in gold, P860 million in copper, and P23 million in silver.

Philex president and chief operating officer Eulalio B. Austin Jr. reported to the Philippine Stock Exchange that the gross sales figure was based on provisional prices of $1,659 per ounce of gold, $3.75 per pound copper, and $31.98 per ounce of silver.
