Concepcion Carrier takes air conditioning to extremes

MANILA, Philippines—Only harsh and extreme weather conditions can provide the true test of durability for any air-conditioning unit.

And one of the best places, perhaps, to put that endurance under close scrutiny is in a tropical country like the Philippines, where air conditioners literally work like a horse—turned up to full blast, operating doubly hard to ward off that sweltering heat.

While many brands offer many pluses, like aesthetics and fancy tech features, leading cooling solutions provider Concepcion Carrier Airconditioning Co. (CCAC), however, has its Condura line of air-conditioning units, which it claims to be “the only air conditioner line custom-built for extreme Philippine conditions including scorching El Niño summers and strong La Niña typhoons. Condura Extreme is built to withstand even the harshest Philippine conditions and is uniquely suited for our climate,” says Alfie Rodriguez, sales director for CCAC.

To prove this claim, CCAC recently put the Condura Extreme head to head with other air-conditioning units in the market in what it dubbed as a “showdown of durability, endurance and adaptability.”

CCAC says that while other brands protect only the condenser from rust and use steel base pans that corrode over time, Condura Extreme has a noncorrosive plastic base and rust protection coating called Durakote on all major parts including the evaporator, compressor, fan motor, connector tubes and condenser.

This feature will likewise ensure the Condura Extreme’s durability even in the harshest conditions, even when they are used in resorts, industrial plants near bodies of water and city structures that face constant pollution, CCAC further claims.

Apart from its durability, the Condura Extreme proves to be energy-efficient as well. It features a patented energy savings plug and power-off timer that cuts down electricity costs by up to 40 percent.

An added value to the Condura Extreme is the five-year warranty on the compressor and a two-year warranty on all other parts. The unit also comes with an added five-year guarantee on system failure against rust on Durakote protected parts.

“We are confident enough to stand by the durability and reliability promise behind the Condura air conditioner product line,” Rodriguez says.
