Indeed, the photos alone of El Nido Resorts making rounds in cyberspace are already enough to enthrall, excite and elicit awe and wonder among avid travelers worldwide.
A cursory look at travel websites would in fact reveal nothing but tributes and praises from local and foreign tourists alike—proof that the captivating El Nido Resorts photos that you see on the Internet are real—and not mere collaterals meant to fool and lure souls looking for a respite from the searing summer heat.
“El Nido is the last frontier in terms of beauty. Its stunning location, marine protected area and pristine white sand beaches makes it the best in the world,” said El Nido Resorts president Laurent Lamasuta.
El Nido Resorts, added Lamasuta, is composed of four eco-resorts located in the El Nido-Taytay municipalities in northern Palawan.
“The eco-resorts include Miniloc Island Resort and Lagen Island Resort in El Nido, and Apulit Island Resort in Taytay,” Lamasuta said.
Meanwhile, El Nido Resorts’ Pangulasian Island Resort, which to date is considered as the most luxurious property in this eco-island collection, is set to open in the last quarter of 2012, he further disclosed.
To give you a better understanding and grasp of the beauty known as El Nido, let Inquirer Property take you on a virtual tour of the different resorts, the sites you can visit and the activities being offered onsite that make up for an unforgettable summer experience.
Miniloc Island Resort
Miniloc, which is located in northern Palawan, is touted as the best destination for those individuals looking for fun and a vibrant summer getaway.
It is tucked in a beautiful cove with sheer limestone cliffs as backdrop, Lamasuta said.
Miniloc Island Resort, added Lamasuta, is reminiscent of a coastal village whose quaint charm is enhanced further by its crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life.
At the long dock where guests are welcomed, one can already snorkel alongside 1.5-meter jacks and hundreds of sergeant majors, damsel fish, fusiliers and other multicolored tropical fish.
Currently, the resort offers 50 accommodations that showcase a rustic and native design, as well as al fresco dining at the clubhouse restaurant and beach bar.
Recreational facilities and amenities that vacationers can indulge in at this island resort include a massage cabana, marine sports center, boutique, game area, kids activity center, theater-style conference room and a complimentary Wi-Fi.
For divers, El Nido offers more than 20 diving sites—all of which are easily accessible from Miniloc Island Resort.
Guests can also explore the island through a kayak ride and discover pockets of white sand beach amid the limestone cliffs or take a sunset cruise around Bacuit Bay.
Lagen Island Resort
This one, they say, is really for the weary urbanite.
Nestled between a lush four-hectare forest and a calm, shallow lagoon, Lagen Island Resort, is meant for those seeking a restful holiday in a private and tranquil island.
The resort commands a magnificent view of Bacuit Bay and has since become famous for that picture-perfect El Nido sunsets, Lamasuta claimed.
Meanwhile, the surrounding forest and breathtaking limestone cliffs serve as a natural attraction to vacationers and as a sanctuary for a diverse variety of birds and mammals, which guests, during their stay, will also have the privilege to observe.
El Nido Resorts Lagen has 50 modern accommodations, an air-conditioned restaurant and a poolside bar.
While vacationing at Lagen Resort, guests can enjoy various amenities and facilities such as a swimming pool, spa suite, massage cabana and a marine sports center. A boutique, game area, library, a garden chapel for intimate weddings, a conference room that can accommodate up to 70 persons theater-style and a complimentary Wi-Fi, are also made available for guests’ convenience.
And if such amenities are not enough, guests can go snorkeling at the house reef and see some of the hundreds of fish species and other interesting sea creatures of El Nido.
Lamasuta said the best way to discover the island’s hidden caves amid the limestone cliffs would similarly be through a kayak ride around Lagen Island.
Nature-lovers can go trekking or bird-watching at the resort’s nature trail, which passes through the forest and ends in a private cove.
And again, for a more scenic and soothing experience of the island, one can take a sunset cruise around Bacuit Bay.
Apulit Island Resort
Located in Taytay, Northern Palawan, the Apulit resort currently serves as an idyllic getaway for those in search of a tropical paradise, as it is set within a pristine cove of white-sand beach lined with coconut trees.
With 50 “over-water” cottages that are built in traditional architecture mixed with contemporary design, guests at the expansive Apulit Island Resort are treated to a showcase of colorful tropical fishes and scenic landscapes.
Like all El Nido Resorts, Apulit Island Resort also provides guests wide range of activities, from soft adventure sports to more leisurely pursuits, which can be arranged according to guest preferences with the help of the resorts guest activity coordinators, Lamasuta said.
Recreational facilities at the resort include a massage cabana and a marine sports center. There is a boutique, game area, pier lounge, private gardens and the Octagon Pier, a scenic platform for private cocktails and even weddings.
Apulit offers 10 diving sites that guests can enjoy, alongside other alternative activities such as snorkeling at the house reef, which will allow them to swim with the friendly baby black tip sharks or the blue spotted stingrays in Apulit’s Stingray Garden.
Also a kayak ride around Apulit Island would give guests the pleasure of discovering crevices and secret caves hidden amid limestone cliffs.
Pangulasian Island Resort
Set to open in October is El Nido Resorts’ luxury island hideaway in Bacuit Bay.
The Pangulasian Island Resort is located in front of a pristine beach and against a backdrop of tropical forest, where future guests can frolic within the 750-meter stretch of white sand beach and be amazed by the marine sanctuary right at its doorstep.
A stay in this resort will allow one to further discover the diverse flora and fauna thriving in the forest of Pangulasian Island, also known as the Island of the Sun as it offers breathtaking views of both the sunrise and the sunset.
Meant for the discerning guests, one can expect only the best and luxurious amenities, highlighted by impeccable and personalized service, Lamasuta noted.
The resort will offer a total of 42 deluxe accommodations built with contemporary Filipino and cutting-edge “green” design. Among the resort facilities are a boutique, a library, restaurant and bar at the clubhouse, an infinity pool with beach bar, gym, spa, hiking trail with view deck, Scuba Shack and marine sports center.
