Security Bank unit pitches low-cost cold transport option for SMEs

MANILA, Philippines — The leasing arm of Security Bank has allied with cold chain provider Coolaire Consolidated Inc. to offer refrigerated trucks to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) without heavy upfront investment.

SB Rental Corp. announced on Wednesday a partnership with Coolaire to provide what it described as “flexible leasing solutions designed to drive growth and efficiency” to SMEs.

Such cold chain is seen to help stabilize retail prices and supply by prolonging the shelf life of perishable goods like fruits and vegetables.

‘Shared mission’

“This partnership is a reflection of our shared mission to uplift Filipino entrepreneurs. At SB Rental, we believe in providing relevant and responsive operating lease solutions. By working closely with Coolaire, we’re enabling SMEs to access reliable refrigerated trucks, while easing their financial burden through flexible terms,” said Zenaida Tan, president of SB Rental.

Keeping products fresh

SB Rental and Coolaire aim to create a more “inclusive” ecosystem where business owners can access the right tools without being weighed down by financial constraints.

The partnership offers qualified clients a customized operating lease package including: low initial cash outlay, no documentary stamp tax or chattel mortgage fees, maximized value added tax input with lease payments, customized end-of-term options and fixed monthly rent for the entire term of the lease./dda
