MANILA, Philippines — The leasing arm of Security Bank has allied with cold chain provider Coolaire Consolidated Inc. to offer refrigerated trucks to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) without heavy upfront investment.
SB Rental Corp. announced on Wednesday a partnership with Coolaire to provide what it described as “flexible leasing solutions designed to drive growth and efficiency” to SMEs.
Such cold chain is seen to help stabilize retail prices and supply by prolonging the shelf life of perishable goods like fruits and vegetables.

Keeping products fresh
Coolaire president Joel Tugade explained the impact of the collaboration: “At Coolaire, our mission has always been to preserve the dreams of Filipino entrepreneurs by ensuring the freshness of their products—from food to pharmaceuticals.”
“This partnership with SB Rental breaks financial barriers and accelerates access to essential refrigerated trucks. We believe innovation is not only in our products but also in how we serve, support and empower our customers to thrive,” he added.
‘More inclusive’
SB Rental and Coolaire aim to create a more “inclusive” ecosystem where business owners can access the right tools without being weighed down by financial constraints.
The partnership offers qualified clients a customized operating lease package including: low initial cash outlay, no documentary stamp tax or chattel mortgage fees, maximized value added tax input with lease payments, customized end-of-term options and fixed monthly rent for the entire term of the lease./dda
