Its services will also cover detailed engineering, including review and evaluation of EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) specifications, system’s design parameters and operating features and development of conceptual layouts.

Its power group has been recognized internationally as a global leader in engineering and construction in the fields of hydroelectric, nuclear and thermal power generation, power system studies, power sector reform, transmission and distribution projects.

The planned 100-MW coal power plant in Panay is only the first phase of Palm Concepcion’s power project. The target was to put up facilities that can generate a total of 200 MW. Commissioning of the first phase of the project is expected by the third quarter of 2015 and for the second phase, by November 2016.

The firm is tapping BDO Capital to arrange the debt financing requirements, with financial closure expected by third quarter of this year.
