AG&P Industrial readies $1-B project pipeline in expansion bid
MANILA, Philippines — Engineering and infrastructure firm Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company of Manila Inc. (AG&P Industrial) said it has around $1 billion worth of projects in the pipeline amid plans to expand its services and move into renewables.
Alex Gamboa, president and managing director of global business development at AG&P Industrial, said the company was currently completing a desulfurization deal in Queensland, Australia.
The company executive said they would also be starting a new energy terminal in Africa and a major terminal project in the Pacific Islands.
“Some of the contracts that we are signing in the next couple of months, we will make a specific announcement on those, especially a major partnership in Australia,” Gamboa told reporters during a press conference earlier this week
He also confirmed the company’s involvement in other significant projects in the United States and Europe, although he declined to share further details.
Gamboa said the company was not only expanding geographically but also broadening service offerings.

Beyond fabrication and construction
He said AG&P Industrial has evolved from being a pure fabrication and construction provider to a company offering end-to-end solutions, including process engineering, detailed engineering, procurement and project delivery on both EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) and EPF (engineering, procurement, fabrication) bases.
“Gone were the days that AG&P only provided fabrication and construction services. Now, even the process engineering, detailed engineering is done in the Philippines,” Gamboa said.
Gamboa said the company was also moving beyond traditional oil and gas by taking on projects involving cleaner energy sources.

He said the company has already made significant strides in the liquefied natural gas space.
“We are now entering into renewables through potential projects in hydroelectric, geothermal. We are also now heavily involved in a sustainable aviation fuel project. That is what I will announce soon for Australia, and other renewable sources, decarbonization and others,” he said.
AG&P Industrial recently completed its involvement in INEOS’ Project ONE in Antwerp, Belgium, which is being positioned as Europe’s most sustainable ethane cracker and the region’s largest chemical investment in over two decades.
