Francis Lim sworn in as SEC chair

Francis Lim is a lawyer and former president of the Philippine Stock Exchange
MANILA, Philippines — Francis Lim has officially began his term as chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday, June 10.

The lawyer and former president of the Philippine Stock Exchange succeeds Emilio Aquino, who headed the commission for seven years.
“Our first order of business is urgent and clear: resolve all pending applications quickly and responsibly,” Lim said in his inaugural speech.

For his part, Aquino welcomed Lim as “a good friend and a leader with a proven and outstanding track record.”
Lim is currently a senior partner at Accralaw. He served as PSE president from 2004 to 2010.
