The GPP has three tiers to cater to diverse business requirements, which include the following:
- Standard Program (Basic Policy): This applies to all general items, including retail goods, floral arrangements, food and beverages, temperature-sensitive products, and non-fragile items. It can cover up to PHP 29,500 per order for a nominal fee of PHP 3.
- Top-Up Program (Comprehensive Basic Insurance): Businesses seeking a higher coverage amount can opt for this program, which covers shipments from PHP 29,500 to PHP 8 million. It includes the same items covered as the Standard Program, with a premium fee of 0.2% of the sum insured.
- Opt-In Program (Exclusive Coverage): For shipments valued up to PHP 8 million, this tier offers a beefed-up coverage, accommodating higher-risk items such as IMDG cargo, second-hand goods, personal effects, fragile items, precious jewelry, fine arts, luxury handbags, and watches. The premium fee will be calculated at 1.3% of the sum insured.
Activating Goods Protection for Your Business
Entrepreneurs and casual users can take advantage of Lalamove’s Goods Protection Promises by upgrading to a Business Account. Here’s how:
- Download the Lalamove app or sign in to Lalamove.
- Go to Settings.
- Click the ‘Upgrade to Business’ button.
- Enter the registered company name (for MSMEs) or personal name (for individual users).
Once upgraded, business users can select their preferred goods insurance tier aligned with their business needs.
Even non-MSMEs can be accredited within 24 hours and avail of Lalamove’s GPP standard tier, with PHP 3 fee per delivery.
