MAP urges gov’t to fast-track skyway link project

Management Association of the Philippines
MANILA, Philippines – The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) on Tuesday called on the government and its project contractors to accelerate the completion of a key segment that would link the North Luzon Expressway–South Luzon Expressway (NLEX-SLEX) Connector Road to the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3.
The influential business group said once completed, the infrastructure project would enhance road connectivity between northern and southern Luzon, cutting travel time for commuters and cargo.
“This essential infrastructure will enhance connectivity between the northern and the southern provinces, significantly reducing travel time for people, goods, and services, thereby promoting economic growth,” MAP said in a statement.
The MAP added that the road link would facilitate 24/7 truck access between economic gateways such as the ports of Manila, Batangas, and Bataan, as well as improve inter-airport transfers between the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the Clark International Airport.
