A Slovenian business delegation arrived in the country two days ago, marking the largest visit from that country to date.
The delegation is composed of 100 participants representing 42 Slovenian firms.
Majeric said that they see the Philippines as an important hub in Asia for doing business.
The Slovenian official also highlighted the advantages of the Philippines’ economic zones, along with the country’s English-speaking and relatively young workforce.
She added that they see promising opportunities in several sectors, including technology, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.
According to Majeric, Slovenia exported approximately €15 million (around $17.43 million) worth of goods to the Philippines in 2024 while importing €6 (around $6.55 million) million worth of goods from the country in the same year.
With the opening of Slovenia’s new embassy in Manila on Tuesday, she said that they are optimistic that trade between the two countries will grow.
