DigiPlus profit soars to P12.6B
MANILA, Philippines – DigiPlus Interactive Corp. tripled its earnings last year to P12.6 billion as it benefited from gains in its retail gaming segment, new livestreamed games and portfolio expansion.
The digital entertainment platform led by tycoon Eusebio Tanco disclosed to the stock exchange on Friday that its revenues likewise ballooned by 176 percent to P75.2 billion.
Tanco, chair of DigiPlus, said 2024 was “a defining year” for the company.
“By developing uniquely Filipino games, expanding beyond our borders and investing in responsible gaming, we have strengthened our position as the leading digital entertainment company in the Philippines,” he said in a statement.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization nearly doubled to P13.9 billion due mainly to the company’s expanding user base.
As of end-2024, DigiPlus had 40 million registered users.
Its games include BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, SpinPlus and GameZone.
