Over 1,500 high school students get business mentoring from Go Negosyo

MANILA, Philippines — Over 1,500 senior high school students received entrepreneurship mentoring in Go Negosyo’s Youthpreneur event at the San Francisco High School in Quezon City on Friday, February 21.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara, DepEd National Capital Regional Director Jocelyn Andaya and other department officials, as well as the officers from the Quezon City local government unit, were on hand.

Also at the school were the members of the Quezon City chapter of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Together, over 50 veteran entrepreneurs gave pieces of advice on livelihoods to senior high school students.

“Character formation is important, and a lot of it comes from parents, from mentors, from good friends,” said Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion in a recorded video message to the young ones.

The Youthpreneur mentoring program has so far reached more than 6,000 public school students in 22 campuses across the country.
