Mang Inasal earns triple win at 60th Anvil Awards
Mang Inasal, the Philippines’ Grill Expert, clinched three honors—including two Golds—at the prestigious 60th Anvil Awards, further cementing its reputation for innovative and consumer-focused public relations.
The homegrown fast-food chain was recognized for three standout campaigns: the Pork BBQ Media Launch, the #MangInasalKahitSaan Digital and PR Campaign, and “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines”, winning in categories that highlight excellence in marketing, digital engagement, and cultural promotion.
Competing against more than 580 entries, Mang Inasal stood out for its creative execution and strong impact in 2024, adding to its growing list of industry accolades.
A celebration of storytelling and connection
“These Anvil awards are more than just recognitions; they’re a testament to our dedication to connecting with our customers in meaningful ways,” said Mang Inasal President Mike V. Castro. “This honor tells us that our efforts, whether in-store or online, truly resonate with our customers. It drives us to keep improving, listen to their needs, and find new ways to serve them better. This is a shared victory with our customers — they inspire everything we do.”
Among its winning entries, the Pork BBQ Media Launch secured Gold in the PR Programs – Marketing and Brand Communication category. The mid-2024 campaign generated buzz with a star-powered media event and a strategic social media push, positioning Mang Inasal’s Pork BBQ as a must-try menu item—especially among younger consumers.
Meanwhile, the #MangInasalKahitSaan Digital and PR Campaign earned another Gold under PR Programs – Best Use of Digital. The campaign turned giant order numbers with QR codes into an online sensation, directing customers to Mang Inasal’s delivery platform while leveraging digital influencers and media partnerships to drive nationwide engagement.
The brand’s “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines” campaign, which bagged Silver in PR Programs – Arts & Culture/Heritage/Tourism, was a collaboration with the Department of Tourism. Designed to highlight Filipino cuisine on a global stage, the initiative reinforced national pride while promoting local flavors.
Raising the bar in PR excellence
Mang Inasal’s latest wins follow its strong showing at the 59th Anvil Awards, where it took home four Golds and one Silver. The continued recognition, Castro said, reflects the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries in public relations and marketing innovation.
Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards—dubbed the “Oscars of PR”—recognize outstanding campaigns from the country’s top brands and agencies. Entries undergo a rigorous three-phase judging process, evaluated by industry experts and distinguished jurors from the Philippines and abroad.
