Chief Executive Officer

DITO Telecommunity

Over the past years, DITO has remained steadfast in its mission to deliver affordable and reliable connectivity to the Filipino people.

[In 2024], we’ve reached remarkable milestones that fill us with pride and gratitude.

We successfully passed our fifth and final technical audit from the National Telecommunications Commission. DITO now covers 86.3 percent of the population, with a minimum average internet speed of 92.87 Mbps on 4G and 597.7 Mbps for 5G.

DITO was recognized twice as the No. 1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines by the Ookla Speedtest Awards, validating the love and trust of DITO subscribers nationwide.

And just recently, independent mobile analytics Opensignal awarded DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, where we dominated the speed race (5G and overall experience) and won in 14 categories.

This is also the very first time that Opensignal is giving this title, making it more significant to us.

This milestone is not just a mere accomplishment or award but a reflection of DITO’s dedication and affirms the strength and reliability of our network.

While our recent milestones validate the meaningful progress we’ve achieved so far, we know that progress is not a one-time achievement, it’s a continuous journey of building, improving and innovating.

We aim to constantly invest and advance our infrastructure to cater to the ever-growing connectivity needs of Filipinos and reach the underserved communities.

CEO

Vivant Corp.

2024 has been a remarkable year for Vivant Corp., building on the solid foundation of the year prior.

Anchored on our commitment to bring excellence to industries that improve everyday living in the communities that we serve, we turned vision into action.

Key milestones include Vivant Water’s completion of the country’s first utility-scale desalination plant in Cebu. Soon, our desalination plant will deliver 20 million liters of potable water daily to the municipality of Cordova and nearby municipalities.

These, alongside the expansion of our renewable energy portfolio and marquee power service agreements, reflect Vivant’s growing role in powering the countryside and being a strategic partner in nation-building.

Our success stems from the dedication and ingenuity of our team. As we hit our 21st year in the utilities sector, we grew our workforce and pushed boundaries even further by investing in infrastructure that meets pressing community needs while fostering a culture of innovation and leadership.

From expanding off-grid energy capacities to delivering critical water and renewable energy projects, our efforts were united by a shared vision to create solutions for our changing world.

Looking into 2025, we are set to amplify our impact by expanding water and energy infrastructure, diversifying our energy portfolio and deepening investments in people and partnerships.

With humility and purpose, we will continue building a future that uplifts lives and powers progress sustainably and responsibly.

4. Jose Parreño Jr.

Chief Operating Officer, Discovery Hospitality Corp.; President,

Discovery World Corp.

The best thing that happened to Discovery Hospitality in 2024 was seeing the transformative achievements we reached together.

One of the highlights was rebranding two of our flagship resorts—Discovery Boracay and Discovery Coron—under the Discovery Resorts brand, allowing us to expand our target market and elevate the guest experience.

We also celebrated incredible recognition, with Discovery Hospitality Corp. being named the Leading Hospitality Brand in the Philippines for the second year in a row at the World Business Outlook Awards and Discovery Primea being honored as Asia’s Leading Business Hotel at the World Travel Awards.

Beyond these milestones, we strengthened our commitment to meaningful programs that benefit the communities we serve and continued to innovate and enhance the experiences we provide.

But the most rewarding thing was being able to get our leaders together to work on our shared goal for the future and encourage collaboration and growth.

My thoughts are now turned to 2025, and I’m excited about the new stories we will begin that year.

The groundbreaking of Kip&Kin Siargao is something to watch out for. This new brand speaks to a new target market and proves our commitment to shaping the future of hospitality.

This year is full of chances, and I’m thrilled to seize them in order to make an even bigger difference, build brands that inspire and establish a legacy that we can all be proud of.
