/ 10:43 PM June 23, 2011

The Tewet Group of Germany has completed the integration of the new signaling system for the original Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT 1) and the line’s North Extension Project (NEP).

The integration helps ensure the safe movement and connection of trains along LRT 1 and the NEP.

Tewet’s integration passed the inspection conducted by TUV Rhineland Group (TUV), a world-renowned international accreditation company and independent safety assessor (ISA), also from Germany.

FEATURED STORIES

Tewet, together with its signaling partner BBR Verkehrstechnik (BBR), conducted the integration of the signaling system as a member of the DMBT consortium, the contractor tapped by the government to construct the NEP.

DMBT takes its name from the initials of consortium members DM Consunji, Beta Electric Inc. and Tewet.
