2. Tarang Gupta
Managing Director
Alaska Milk Corp.
In 2024, Alaska Milk Corp. made remarkable strides in delivering on its purpose of providing affordable and accessible nutrition to Filipino families and its mission to help promote nutrient adequacy.
Like many in the private sector, our company faced significant challenges during the pandemic.
However, thanks to the resilience, commitment and hard work of our employees, we have not only regained momentum but are also seeing consistent business growth.
This recovery underscores AMC’s unwavering commitment to creating positive impact despite the challenges.
We remained focused on contributing meaningfully to helping combat nutrient inadequacy, a form of malnutrition. Through our products, we worked towards elevating the nutritional quality of meals for Filipino families, one glass and one plate at a time.
The year 2024 has been one of growth, perseverance and renewed purpose for AMC.
As we look to the future, I am confident that we have created a clear and strong pathway for us to continue to grow in 2025, recognizing that we have an important role in helping nourish the future and in promoting food security across the Philippines.
In 2025, I am excited to build on the momentum we achieved in 2024 by focusing on further driving household penetration for our products. Amid the anticipated challenges of forex fluctuations and rising milk prices, I believe that by doing this and prioritizing fewer but more impactful initiatives, we will be able to deliver stronger results while directing our resources to the areas that matter most.
In 2025, I am also looking forward to doing more initiatives that would address nutrient inadequacy and promote food security in the country through dairy.
Be it through our products, our business with our customers and our continued partnerships with the education sector and local dairy industry, I would like to see us scaling our impact more by identifying and investing in opportunities that create the greatest positive difference.
As the sole operating company of FrieslandCampina in the Philippines, I would also like to leverage FrieslandCampina’s global expertise and scale to see what we can do more for Filipinos.
This is truly an exciting time for AMC. I am confident that by focusing on the drivers of both business growth and social impact, we will unlock even greater success in 2025.
