Phinma Education Holdings Inc. has acquired St. Jude College (SJC) Dasmariñas Cavite for P432 million, adding 3,000 students to the company’s private school network.

In a regulatory filing on Monday, conglomerate Phinma Corp. said its education arm now had 10 schools in its Philippine network and 12 schools overall.

The firm bought 30,750 shares in SJC Dasmariñas for P2,764.23 each, representing a 94.62-percent stake.

“SJC Dasmariñas Cavite continues our thrust to make education as accessible as possible to underserved youth. Our newest school expands Phinma Education’s presence in Southern Luzon and nearby regions,” the education company’s country chief Happy Tan, said in a statement.

Among the programs offered at SJC Dasmariñas are nursing, psychology, hospitality management, and computer science, among others. It also offers master’s programs in nursing and hospital administration.
