BIZ BUZZ: LottoMatik fantastic
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is inviting those who want to earn extra money to “take the first step toward financial success” by selling the popular lotto tickets the high tech way via LottoMatik.
LottoMatik is a handy, portable device that allows businesses like neighborhood sari-sari stores or gasoline stations to sell PCSO lotto tickets.
Sub-agents will get to earn commissions on every ticket sold and up to P500,000 in bonus commissions for jackpot-winning tickets purchased through the LottoMatik point-of-sale device.
LottoMatik, which runs on the backend system developed by publicly listed DFNN Corp., is available to interested parties for an initial investment of P50,000, which covers the POS unit and marketing materials and pre-loaded betting funds.
“It’s an easy way to attract more customers and increase your revenue,” said the PCSO, which is the principal government agency providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services and charities of national character.
Aside from providing entrepreneurs with another income stream, the PCSO also hopes that by making it more convenient for Filipinos to buy lotto tickets, they will be able to raise more funds and at the same time take money away from the illegal betting operators that pop up online. —Tina Arceo-Dumlao INQ
