PAL brings back Clark-Siargao flights

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines (PAL) has resumed operation of its Clark-Siargao flights in time for the surge in air travel amid the holiday season.

The flight that links Pampanga to one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations is offered three times a week.

“Our thrice-weekly service will provide ease and convenience for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon since there is no need for land travel to Metro Manila to connect to Siargao,” PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang said in a statement.

Lipad Corp. president and CEO Noel Manankil said this came at “a perfect time as we approach the holiday season, when many of us are eager to reunite with loved ones and explore new destinations.”

Isabela, too

Lipad is the consortium that manages and operates Clark International Airport.

For this route, PAL is deploying an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft.

The flag carrier also operates from Clark flights to Cebu, Basco, Busuanga and Boracay.

The restored route to Siargao complements its flights from Manila and Cebu to the same destination.

Earlier, PAL announced that it would start operating flights from Manila to Cauayan, Isabela by Jan. 15, 2025.

This route is also seen to provide passengers from Isabela province an additional connection to international destinations from Manila.
