Kristine leaves over P1.2M in livestock losses in Albay
LIGAO CITY — Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” (international name: Trami) has caused over P1.2 million in damage to livestock and poultry across Albay, according to the Albay Veterinary Office (AVO).
As of Oct. 26, the AVO reported damage totalling P 1,240,740, a sharp increase from the P777,070 recorded the day before. Losses include cattle, carabaos, chickens, goats, swine, and ducks.

Despite advisories issued by the AVO ahead of the storm to protect livestock, the widespread destruction has still led to substantial losses.
Local farmers are now appealing to the provincial government for support to help recover from the economic impact of the storm.
