Mitsubishi opens new dealership in Bulacan

The Philippine unit of automotive giant Mitsubishi and its local partner have opened a new dealership in Bulacan, with a second one slated to follow in the next two years.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) said that it, along with dealer partner SJ Legacy Motors Inc., inaugurated their new branch at the SM City San Jose Del Monte on Sept. 27.

“Conveniently located on the lower ground floor of this [mall] … this outlet aims to provide customers with easy access to Mitsubishi vehicles while enjoying the convenience of a shopping mall environment,” the company said in a statement on Friday.

Aside from this outlet, both firms also held a groundbreaking for a sales, service, and spare parts facility in San Jose del Monte on Friday.

This planned facility, which is targeted for completion by January 2026 will feature over 5,000 square meters of floor area when finished, according to the MMPC.

It will also feature a modern four-unit showroom display and seven service bays, providing customers with a comprehensive vehicle sales, spare parts and service experience, according to the company.

The MMPC also touted that the three-floor building with a mezzanine will bring “world-class” Mitsubishi products and services to service what the company called a “rapidly expanding population” of San Jose Del Monte and neighboring communities.

“With SJ Legacy Motors as our trusted partner in this area, we are confident that these new facilities will strengthen our presence in this rapidly growing region and offer even greater convenience and satisfaction to Mitsubishi owners,” MMPC president and CEO Ritu Imaeda said.

According to the latest industry data, the MMPC held a 19.18 percent market share in the Philippines from January to September.
