KGH to launch Cebu hotel

Singapore-based Koko Global Hospitality Group (KGH) has teamed up with a local group to launch a 41-room hotel in Cebu by April 2025.

The rollout of Kokotel Cebu Adira, a partnership with Arianzo Realty & Development Corp., marks KGH’s entry into the three-star hotel segment in Cebu, complementing its existing portfolio of more than 2,000 rooms across Thailand, Japan and the Philippines, including five hotels in Metro Manila.

“We received numerous offers from both international and local operators, but we were discerning in selecting a partner who aligns with our vision for this asset. KGH’s Kokotel brand perfectly fits our needs for Hotel Adira,” says Ronald Ace Serafin, president of Arianzo Realty.

The upcoming hotel will offer rooms for about P2,000 to P3,000 per night and also feature a rooftop restaurant.

KGH, which is backed by Japanese and Thai investors, currently operates 35 properties, of which 18 are under the Kokotel brand.

Each Kokotel room features a whimsical sheep mascot, symbolizing comfort and good sleep.

“Our centralized operations and focus on staff training aimed at customer satisfaction ensure we offer a well-maintained, clean hotel experience,” says Rei Matsuda, KGH founder and CEO.
