The Medical City Ortigas (TMCO) and La Vista Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (LVHAI) officially opened the doors of The Medical City Community Clinic – La Vista in Quezon City on September 28. The collaboration aims to improve access to quality healthcare for residents of La Vista, who will now benefit from TMC’s medical expertise and advanced technology in their own neighborhood.
Key leaders from both organizations graced the clinic inauguration, including Dr. Ruben G. Kasala, Executive Vice President and CEO of TMCO; Dr. Gregorio S. Martinez Jr., Chief Medical Officer of TMCO; Dr. Christopher Napoleon G. Delos Reyes, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer of TMCO; Mr. Martin Antonio S. Crisostomo, President of LVHAI, and Ms. Mary Jane Regala, Governor of LVHAI.
During the opening, La Vista residents were treated to a range of free services, including breast mammograms, flu and pneumococcal vaccines, random blood sugar testing, nutrition assessment, pediatric and adult consultations, and hearing screening, among others.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Medical City to provide our residents with easy access to quality healthcare right at their doorstep. This community clinic not only enhances the well-being of our neighborhood but also reflects our shared vision of creating a healthier, stronger La Vista,” said Crisostomo.
World-class healthcare close to home
The newly launched community clinic, staffed by highly qualified doctors and nurses, offers La Vista residents immediate access to TMC’s wide range of medical services and resources. It also acts as a referral center, bridging patients to TMC’s main facility in Ortigas and the primary care clinic in UP Town Center for specialized care and advanced diagnostics, ensuring continuous and comprehensive medical support.
“The opening of The Medical City Community Clinic here in La Vista is aligned with our vision of making world-class healthcare accessible to every Filipino community. This community clinic will help empower residents to take control of their health by gaining access to the high standards of care they would receive in our main hospitals and primary care clinics,” Dr. Kasala shared in his closing remarks.
Personalized preventive healthcare
True to its mission of being the public’s trusted partner in health, TMC’s community clinic will focus on preventive, personalized healthcare. This includes regular health screenings, vaccinations, and educational programs aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing common diseases. In addition, the clinic will develop wellness programs that cater to the specific health profiles and needs of La Vista residents.
A convenient one-stop-shop
Strategically located within the subdivision, the community clinic provides a one-stop-shop for essential primary care services, eliminating the need for residents to travel long distances to receive quality healthcare. Beyond traditional clinic services, the facility also offers remote healthcare through The Medical City’s Community Health on Wheels program, as well as home care services like nursing support.
TMC solidifies its position as the Philippines’ largest healthcare network by expanding its reach through hospitals, primary care clinics, and community clinics like the one in La Vista, connecting communities with accessible, high-quality healthcare services.
