The Member of the European Commission for Budget and Administration, Johannes Hahn, will have a two-day Manila visit to promote investment in EU-bonds as a safe asset.
It is the first time for Hahn to visit the Philippines on September 12 to 13.
The Commissioner will also promote the euro as a stable global currency.

Hahn is meeting with budget and finance officials including Finance Secretary Ralph Recto.
In only a couple of years, the EU has become one of the largest issuers in euro. It issues about €150 billion per year.
Meanwile, the Commission has a diversified investor base of around 1,700 different investors from 70 countries.
