Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) is looking for a consultant who will come up with the design of its new headquarters, a three-hectare (ha) property comprising five buildings.
Interested parties have until Oct. 7 to submit their bids for the P30.34-million contract for detailed architectural and engineering design services.
According to the bidding documents, the participants must be a “reputable firm with at least 10 years of business operation” relating to the service being procured.

Once the contract is awarded, the chosen proponent has 180 days or six months to complete the project.
The new headquarters will include a four-level main building housing the executive office suite, legal offices, board room, conference rooms, library, auditorium, commercial spaces and office retail spaces.
A three-story operations building is also part of the design. It will include the vice presidential office suite, departmental offices, conference rooms and commercial spaces.
The administrative building, a three-story establishment, will have managerial office suites, departmental offices, retail spaces and conference rooms.
Other facilities in the new headquarters are the motor pool building and a multi-purpose hall.
The new headquarters is just one of the several flagship projects in the CIAC’s pipeline.

CIAC is also working on its P8.5-billion Clark National Food Hub, which is proposed to improve the food supply chain across the country and to provide a marketplace for farmers and fisherfolk. The hub is a 62-ha facility set to rise in the Clark civil aviation complex.
The state-run firm is also studying the possibility of building a second runway to accommodate more flights. It is projected to cost P7 billion to P10 billion.
Recently, CIAC signed a memorandum of understanding with state-owned Maharlika Investment Corp. to boost investments in Clark projects.
This year, the Pampanga gateway aims to service 2.4 million to 2.7 million passengers. It accommodated nearly 2 million passengers last year, a 50-percent recovery compared to the pre-pandemic volume. INQ
