GAC Motors to open 9 more PH branches this year

The local unit of China-based automobile firm GAC Motors is planning to open 9 more dealerships in the Philippines this year, pushing the number of its branches in the country close to its target of 38.

GAC Motor Philippines said that there will be new stores at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, as well as in three Quezon City locations which include the Mindanao Avenue, Congressional Avenue, and Fairview.

New stores will also open in Kawit in Cavite, Sucat in Parañaque, Tacloban, Valenzuela City, and Zamboanga.

“GAC Motor Philippines rides high on the momentum of our consecutive dealer openings this 2024, and together with our new partnership with Ponce Automobile Corporation, we enthusiastically reach out and deliver the leading-edge mobility of GAC MOTOR to the Bacolod community,” GAC Motor Philippines brand head Franz Decloedt said in a statement.

The company inaugurated last August 7 its Bacolod branch, one of the 27 dealer outlets currently in operation, in partnership with local firm Ponce Automobile Corp.

Located along Araneta Street in Barangay Singcang, Bacolod City, the facility is touted to bring in a world-class, premium experience for customers.

The company said it is a fully equipped 3S facility, which means the branch handles sales, spare parts, and service.

The facility also features four dedicated service bays and a well-stocked parts inventory suitable from routine maintenance to complex repairs, according to the firm.

Earlier this year, GAC Motors Philippines also opened new branches in Santa Rosa, Laguna, General Santos City in Mindanao, Iloilo City in Western Visayas, Marilao in Bulacan, San Fernando in Pampanga, and Sumulong Highway in Cainta.

Last month, the company said it sold 351 retail units, pushing the total to 1,702 units for the first half of the year.

This marks a 172 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
