The Gokongwei-backed GoTyme Bank on Thursday said they are on track to hit their target of over 5 million users in the Philippines by the end of this year, with the banking firm gaining over 250,000 new users each month.
“Since last saw everyone nine months ago in October, we’ve grown from one and a half million customers to 3.7 million customers,” GoTyme Bank Chief Executive Officer Nate Clarke said in a speech during the company’s cocktail event in Quezon City.
The GoTyme official said this, which he said makes them the fastest growing bank in the Philippines.

“If you look at monthly downloads, app downloads, we’re the number one bank. If you look at growth in monthly active app users, we’re number one. Then if you look at growth and insta-pay transactions month-on-month we’re number one,” he added.
He added that they are also leading in terms of the net promoter score, the most used metric, to measure customer experience and brand affinity.
For his part, GoTyme Bank Co-Chief Executive Officer Albert Tinio said they have a 15-point lead in the Philippines and one of the highest NPS scores among all the banks, globally.
“Because of that we aren’t just the most loved back in the Philippines, but we are by far the most loved back in the Philippines,” said Tinio
In a May 2024 study by Forrester, GoTyme Bank achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 76, a 15-point lead over the nearest competitor.

Another study by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) conducted at the end of 2023 also had GoTyme Bank receiving the top NPS position among all banks and eWallets and also came out at the top in the EDB study on Customer Experience (CX) rating with an overall score of 78.
Today, GoTyme has more than 470 kiosks nationwide where people aged 18-year-old and up can open an account and be issued a Visa debit card within five minutes by submitting a single, valid identification card, a Philippine address, and a mobile number.
GoTyme said it has plans to further strengthen its position in the Philippine market with an even heavier focus on making banking products and processes simpler and more convenient.
During the same event, GoTyme announced that Filipinos living abroad in 170 countries can now open an account using an international SIM and enjoy the same benefits and features as local accounts.
The banking firm also announced their new mobile check deposit system, as well as their partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ coin deposit machine program.
GoTyme said that customers can now deposit their coin at BSP coin deposit machines and have those credited straight into their account where it will earn 60 times more annual interest than the average savings account.
