SEC unveils ‘digital passport’ for online services

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is integrating all its digital services in a single online platform.

It issued a circular establishing the Electronic SEC Universal Registration Environment (eSECURE), described as a “digital passport” to its different online services.

To curb money laundering and terrorist financing, it will employ a credentialing system to ensure “identification, trustworthiness, reachability and veracity” of users.

Electronic application processing for company registration, submission and e-registration of companies, as well as research and data retrieval, will be integrated into the platform. INQ
