Ford expands all-new Fiesta lineup with 3 more variants
During the 10th anniversary celebration of Ford Club Philippines last Feb. 25, 2012, Ford Philippines unveiled three new variants, further strengthening its best-selling nameplate.
The three new variants were the 1.6-liter Ford Fiesta Sport Plus hatchback and the hatchback and sedan models of the automatic 1.4-liter Ford Fiesta Trend.
“The All-New Fiesta has become one of the clear leaders of the small car segment, and we are excited to be expanding our Fiesta offering and giving customers even more choice with the lineup of this class-leading vehicle,” said Vinay Piparsania, VP for marketing and sales of Ford Group Philippines.
“With the addition of the 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus and 1.4L Fiesta Trend AT in both hatchback and sedan body styles, the All-New Fiesta will continue to connect with Filipino customers in so many new, exciting and different ways,” he added.
Since its launch in October 2010, the Fiesta has set a new standard for small cars with its class-leading combination of design, safety, quality and fuel efficiency and smart technology and continues to be Ford’s best-selling nameplate.
Article continues after this advertisementThe new five-door 1.6-liter Fiesta Sport Plus dons a much bolder and sportier look, thanks to the addition of new front and rear bumpers as well as leather trimmed seats. This particular model also has all the class-leading features of the Fiesta Sport such as Ford’s innovative six-speed, dual-clutch automatic PowerShift transmission.
Article continues after this advertisementWith the addition of the automatic transmission for both hatchback and sedan variants of the new 1.4-liter Fiesta Trend AT, customer now has more choices—adding driving convenience while delivering exceptional fuel economy in the popular All-New Fiesta lineup.
In addition to the three new Fiesta variants, the hatchback and sedan versions of the 1.6-liter Fiesta Trend have been equipped with additional features including the Connectivity package that features Voice Command and Bluetooth as well as six-speaker audio system—previously only offered on the Fiesta Sport variant.
A front passenger-side airbag has also been added, joining the driver-side airbag already featured as standard equipment.
The new Fiesta 1.6-liter Sport Plus is priced at P854,000 and is available in four colors—Chili Orange, Aurora Blue, Black Mica and Arctic White. Both hatchback and sedan versions of the new Fiesta 1.4-liter Trend AT are priced at P739,000 and P729,000, respectively.
These new All-New Fiesta variants will be on display along with the full lineup of Fiestas at the 2012 Manila International Auto Show at the World Trade Center on March 29 to April 1.
