Shared beginnings and success

Mike was the first architect in their family—establishing in the 90s his own firm named Fitnesscape Creative Studio Inc.. Come 2010, Paul joined him, resulting in a collaboration that allowed this family-led architectural firm to focus more on green architecture. They move in tandem and in sync, with their values shared by a reliable partner in their journey, Wilcon Depot.

A family that works together, stays together

For Mike, working with his son feels “like play” as they combine their passion for architecture while spending quality time together. Paul not only shares this passion but also embraces his father’s work ethic and hobbies, including golf, travel, and cars. This shared enthusiasm strengthens their bond, enriching both their personal and professional relationships.

Thus, the story of Mike and Paul in “Alagang Wilcon” is perfect for Father’s Day. It illustrates how a father’s influence extends beyond providing basic needs, serving also as a source of inspiration. Before becoming colleagues in architecture, Mike was Paul’s first mentor. Their relationship is no doubt mutually enriching, with each learning from the other.

Mike and Paul explained that as they evolved in their field, they also witnessed how Wilcon flourished as a company, now considered a retail giant in its field. This impressive growth is what made the Peña architects consider the retail store to be part of their family. Along with the similar values they uphold, their success goes hand in hand.
