Adobo Magazine features regional ad agency execs in Jan-Feb edition

/ 04:48 PM February 25, 2012

Coming into its sixth year of being the Philippine’s word on advertising, adobo magazine released its biggest ever issue in its January-February 2012 edition. In an issue both to cap a year that has passed and begin a new one, adobo brings its largest collection of regional agency heads – both on the creative and management fronts – for their creative recap and projections for 2012. This shines the spotlight on Asia as it grows in influence in global bottom-lines.

As the face of this thickest-ever issue is the man who has led BBDO Worldwide on its stellar run at the world’s major awards shows. Andrew Robertson, global president and chief executive officer of BBDO Worldwide, shares his simple management belief that breeds lions in the creative jungle.

On the local front, a game-changing 22nd Philippine Advertising Congress and Araw Awards headline adobo’s local report. From a repeat win from BBDO Guerrero and Media Contacts, DM9 JaymeSyfu and Revolver Studio’s close call for the top prize, to Publicis Manila’s come-from-nowhere win – the AdCon22 story is one worth a closer look.

Top stories include the Department of Tourism’s viral new campaign, DDB Philippines’ victory as the sole Asian gold bullet-winner at Young Guns, as well as adobo’s picks of 2011’s finest moments in advertising. A year-end ranking of the Top 10 media and creative account wins is also included.

FEATURED STORIES

The issue also goes on a global roundup of awards, starting from the WON report, going to Campaign Asia Pacific’s Agency of the Year, the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame, the Malaysian Kancils, the Grand Global Awards, and the London International Awards.

For adobo’s profiles, an ambush Q&A reveals how Marlon Rivera lives his many lives, while MediaCom and Central Digital Lab talk about breaking away from traditional paradigms. A creative review by Droga5’s Kevin Brady, an adobo exhibit featuring Cid Reyes’ art tomes, and a Roundtable discussion on staff poaching—adobo goes beyond the news and gives you the tools you need to start the year big. Grab a copy of adobo magazine’s January-February issue, now available at major magazine outlets and bookstores for only P180.
