Restaurateur Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, who headlines the dining pillar, found her purpose by continuing her grandmother and father’s legacy with the Barrio Fiesta restaurant. Her memory of treating this place like a playground ultimately influenced her career. With the kitchen as her happy place, she cooks for her kids the heirloom recipes she has loved all these years. And with her restaurants, others can also sample their traditional dishes, seasoned with Happy’s welcome twists.

Wellness advocate Bianca Elizalde, emphasizes mindfulness in choosing what we put into our bodies, embodying the wellness pillar. From her home kitchen, where she’s used to whipping up food from scratch using natural ingredients, the idea for The Wholesome Table was born. The restaurant has since established a following for being instrumental in giving people access to organic yet delicious food options prepared with much thought, and consideration for the body’s needs.

UN Ambassador for Food Security and Nutrition Cherrie Atilano, trains a spotlight on the source and journey of food. As an agriculturist, her advocacy ignites insightful conversations on sustainability. It is her goal to secure the food of the future through her sustainable agribusiness, AGREA while shedding light on the current circumstances of farmers. AGREA connects farmers directly to the market to supply produce for large companies and equips the next generation of farmers with entrepreneurial skills to help improve and sustain food systems.
