ON MAY 27, 2011, Edsa Shangri-La, Manila was informed about potentially food-related illness of guests attending an event at the hotel the previous evening.

The hotel immediately launched and has since concluded a full internal investigation. As per the Shangri-La’s food safety protocol food samples prepared and served by the hotel during the dinner were kept back and sent to an independent laboratory for analysis. The test conducted by Intertek Testing Services Philippines Inc. turned out negative for any pathogen for all samples.
