For many homebuyers and investors, location has always been a priority.
Most opt for a property in thriving, highly accessible city centers where opportunities and modern comforts abound. Some however started exploring areas outside the capital region, still choosing favorable locations while steering clear of the frenetic pace of life often associated with Metro Manila.
Attractive choice
One example is Cavite, which has remained an attractive choice for many, owing to its proximity to Metro Manila, which can be easily accessed via the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (Naiax), the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Cavite Expressway (Cavitex). At the same time, it is host to numerous establishments and institutions that assure residents of contemporary conveniences right within this province.
Among the cities and municipalities of Cavite, General Trias City stands out as a thriving and welcoming city for those who seek residence in a vibrant but comfortable location.

General Trias is used to be known primarily as an agricultural municipality. However, progress in the city and in the province, especially in terms of economic growth, infrastructure building, and urbanization, has contributed to making General Trias an attractive target for land and community developments.
Aside from being one of the most competitive and most business-friendly cities in Calabarzon Region, General Trias also serves a gateway to other key areas in Cavite and nearby provinces. Expressways, national roads, and bridges have made connectivity and transportation easy for the residents of General Trias to travel and start business ventures in nearby municipalities and cities of Cavite like Noveleta, Imus, Kawit, Dasmariñas, Silang, Amadeo, Tanza, and Rosario.
First class component city
After becoming a component city in 2015, investments have poured into General Trias. Today, it is recognized as a first-class component city with 33 barangays, and a population of 450,583 people according to the latest Census of the Philippine Statistics Authority.
With a total land area of 117.68 sq km, General Trias City has attracted several investments to host its own industrial parks and economic zones that continue to contribute significantly to the province’s economy, while generating quality jobs for the region. Among the in-demand industries in the city are manufacturing and semiconductor.
General Trias City is also largely seen as a residential town and many prominent property developers have invested in the city to put up integrated communities here. Aside from private companies, the government also built several of its socialized housing projects in General Trias.
Blend of urban and rural
What makes General Trias an attractive option for homebuyers is because it offers the perfect blend of urban and rural living. There are enough schools, hospitals, banks, malls, commercial establishments, business districts, tourist destinations, and leisure areas to sustain the city, but at the same time, it has maintained green open fields for a more laidback and relaxed living experience.
The property market of General Trias covers different demographics and socioeconomic consumers as residential projects in the city range from mass housing projects to luxury residential neighborhoods.
One of the most exciting developments in the city now is Yume, the first horizontal development of Federal Land NRE Global Inc. (FNG) located within the 600-ha Riverpark in General Trias.
FNG is the the joint venture company between Federal Land Inc. and Japan’s Nomura Real Estate Development Co. Ltd. Yume is FNG’s mixed-use development that promises the fusion of Japanese lifestyle and design with Filipino sensibilities and community building.
